In the Three Valleys, take advantage of the fantastic après-ski

The Three Valleys skiing area has been attracting keen skiers and celebrities for many years. As well as the opportunity to stay in wonderful ski chalets, La Tania gives you access to some great après ski. Whether you choose to stay in-resort or venture further afield, you will find plenty to occupy you during the evenings. Just make sure you save some energy from your days on the slopes!

Locally

For anyone who has opted to stay in this lovely resort, the ski chalets La Tania offers will provide access to some great nightlife. The resort was built for the 1992 Winter Olympics, and is a pretty region with chocolate box chalets. Traditionally quieter than some of the bigger resorts, that doesn’t mean, however, that you won’t have much to do, as there are some great bars and restaurants.

The Ski Lodge is perhaps the most popular meeting place, and is a great location to have a drink, however it also puts on concerts and themed evenings so there’s always something going on. There’s a terrace outside, which looks over the mountains, and it’s a lovely place to sit and drink a hot toddy. It offers lunch and dinner menus and also serves snacks, including baguettes and soup, to restore some energy – you will need it to keep going until the 2 am closing time! The menu is varied and includes burgers, ribs and chili and pasta dishes. There is a Happy Hour from 4pm – 6pm daily and regular live music. For sports fans live Sky Sports events and also extreme sports videos are shown.

Another venue that offers sport and Happy Hours is Le Chrome Bar. Again, live music is available and they also show Sky Movies. There is a fast food service at lunchtime for those eager to get back on the slopes.

La Taiga Lounge cocktail bar is a little more sophisticated if you fancy a pre-dinner Martini. You’ll find it opposite the Troika beginner’s piste in the centre of the resort.

Courcheval

The ski chalets La Tania is so famous for are only just over a mile from the ritzy resort of Courchevel, and if you want to expand your horizons for some après ski this is the place to head for. There is a free bus that runs in the evenings so this is a great option for a look at the high life. There are plentiful options for letting your hair down in Courchevel and you may find yourself rubbing shoulders with Russian Oligarchs or celebrities.

The main draw for after-hours fun is Corchevel Moriond, which offers a great selection of bars from the rustic to the modern. La Boulotte is the place to head for if you like live music and a frenetic nightlife. You are very likely to see people dancing on the tables and it definitely isn’t the place for a peaceful night out! The Funky Fox also really knows how to throw a party, with regular DJ sets and live music, which ranges from the Blues to Drum and Bass. For something a little more authentically French you could head for Courchevel Le Praz, where you will find Le Cave des Lys, an authentic French wine bar with low ceilings and atmospheric lighting. It has an extensive wine collection and lovely nibbles, including great charcuterie.

When you’re looking for ski chalets, La Tania has everything a winter resort could ask for – including off the slope activities and fun.
